The following article is quite interesting. Under section 2: Human-Centric Content, I'd like to share a few sentences directly from the article: "AI-generated content often overlooks the depth, compassion, and emotional resonance human writers infuse into their work. To ward off AI fears, publishers should prioritize creating human-centric content that deeply resonates with readers. This involves telling stories that reflect diverse human experiences, emotions, and perspectives. Human writers can capture the subtleties of language, cultural nuances, and the complexities of the human condition in ways that AI currently cannot."
So I asked AI to offer up a rebuttal in its defense. Here's the answer: "While it's true that human writers bring invaluable personal experiences, deep cultural insights, and a nuanced understanding of language to their writing, AI's capabilities in these areas are advancing rapidly. AI can now access a vast database of literary and cultural content, allowing it to mimic and recreate complex language patterns and cultural nuances. Although AI might not "experience" these elements in the traditional human sense, it can analyze and replicate them based on patterns found in extensive datasets."
So, as a human who may disagree with AI's response, I can assure you that you haven't experimented with AI enough. Now I know that's going to sound controversial! Try an experiment. Ask AI to describe the look, smell and feel of a rose. Then ask the best writer that you know, perhaps yourself, to do the same. You may be shocked at the results. Or tell Chat GPT to imagine itself as a microscopic entity traveling on a short trip through your intestines. Ask it to describe what it sees! What you may realize is that the LLM allows you to take off in an infinite amount of directions to use your own creative writing abilities if you choose to do so.
"Generative AI shouldn't be a source of fear. "It's only the unfamiliar shortcuts through the woods that unsettle us, and not the well-traveled paths that we explore with confidence."
